The Calm

Taken in Siena Italy 2003. il Palio is a famous horse race ran through piazza del campo. This picture was taken during an early morning practice race in which I was lucky to get so close to the action. I like the bright yellow costume the rider wears in this picture, but more importantly the horse and his pose is beautiful in its self.
